Israel chose Michael Ben David and his song “I.M” through the Israeli production of X Factor.

Ursula’s Thoughts: I am a big fan of this song and performance. The flamboyant sass, the aesthetic, the vocals, the instrumental breakdown that makes sure everyone knows that it’s Israel’s entry, this song has it all. It’s everything Malta wanted to be and wasn’t.

Christa’s Thoughts: Israel’s Michael has perhaps the largest personality of any performer in Eurovision 2022, and he flaunts it. The song is about unapologetically being your gorgeous self, and is the musical equivalent of the phrase: “Yass queen slay!”
