Moldova’s “Trenulețul”

After a canceled national final, Moldova chose Zdob și Zdub & Frații Advahov’s song “Trenulețul” to represent them at Eurovision. Trenulețul, meaning train, is about the railway through Moldova, which can be seen represented in the music video.

This will be Zdob și Zdub’s third participation in the contest since their first performance in 2005. You can check out each of their previous chaotic stages here and here.

Moldova will be competing in the first semi-final.

Ursula’s Thoughts: This song is a banger. 100% here for it. Hey-ho, let’s go! Folklore and rock and roll!

Christa’s Thoughts: This is exactly the Eurovision content I am here for. It’s wacky. It celebrates its country, Moldova. And it immediately makes you want to dance. ALSO it has an amazing music video. What more could you ask for?
