Through a national selection process, Australia chose “Not The Same” by Sheldon Riley. Due to the song contest’s local popularity, Australia has been competing in Eurovision since 2015.

Australia will be competing in the second semi-final.

Ursula’s Thoughts: Although I definitely gravitate towards more upbeat lighthearted entries, it is clear that Sheldon Riley brings the emotion and skill required to allow this ballad to shine. Also, the costuming is fantastic.

Christa’s Thoughts: Sheldon Riley’s voice is AMAZING, and I love their song so much. The song is intensely personal to Sheldon’s experience growing up, and every time I hear them talk about how competing in Eurovision like this was a childhood dream, I instantly tear up. I am so proud of them, and also look how ICONIC this King is:
