The Turquoise Carpet is Eurovision’s “red” carpet official opening ceremony. This year it was held on Sunday, May 8th at the Reggia di Venaria (cool looking palace in Turin, Italy).
We’ve assembled our favorite “lewks” and moments so that you don’t have to watch the 4 hour ceremony yourself.

This red velvet suit! The choker! The single white rose! Yes.
9. Greece – Amanda Tenfjord
Simple. Elegant. PINK. I feel like this is a Barbie dress in the best way possible.
8. Austria – Lum!x and Pia Maria
The Black and White really look SO good together.
7. Israel – Michael Ben David
We love patterns done well. Also, I love just how much he clearly loves his outfit.
6. Spain – Chanel
THE TRAIN. The only reason Chanel’s look isn’t higher on this list is because I’m really not sure what’s going on with the rest of her outfit.
5. Sweden – Cornelia Jakobs
:O She is just gorgeous.
4. Serbia – Konstrakta
Iconic 1930s. Also I love her shoes!

1. Australia – Sheldon Riley
THIS ICONIC KING. Sheldon Riley was easily the best dressed on the Turquoise Carpet, hands down. There is no competition.

STEAMPUNK PIRATES. Hats, feathers, eyepatch, BEARD! It looks like Circus Mircus found their outfits at a Spirit Halloween.
Latvia – Citi Zēni
Just Citi Zēni being Citi Zēni.
Norway – Subwoolfer
For being wolves from the moon, Subwoolfer actually has a pretty decent grasp of Earthly fashion. Now they just need to understand what cameras are.
