Austria chose Kaleen’s song “We Will Rave” through an internal selection process. Kaleen will be performing 6th in the second semi-final.

Kaleen is bringing the Eurodance beat with this rave song. I mean with a chorus like “We ram-di-dam-dam-da WE WILL RAVE” it has to be a party, right? As a professional dancer, we know she can dance, the question remains if she can sing. This could be a really fun party song during the live show – if she can sing and perform it live at the same time. Alternatively, she may just be half-naked while struggling to hit all the notes (don’t take this as a serious suggestion, Kaleen, we don’t need a repeat of the London Eurovision Party last week).

It bears repeating that we enjoy the chorus of this song. “Ram-di-dam-dam-da” joins “rim-tim-tagi-digi-dim” and “dam-diggi-da” on the list of best nonsensical lyrics this season. (Damdiggida by Keiino will not be going to Eurovision this year, and that’s okay, because all that lyricism really might have been too much for us to handle.) By no means groundbreaking, “We Will Rave” brings a fun party atmosphere, and when we listen to it, we do in fact rave.
